RETINA & UVEA
The innermost layer lining the back of the eye is termed the retina, sometimes referred to as the "photographic film" of the eye. Its primary function is to take in light, process it, and then send electrical signals to the brain through the optic nerve, which is how vision is achieved. The retina can be impacted by any systemic disease, including diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, etc. The goal of the vitreo retinal department is to identify and treat any aberrant condition pertaining to the retina, uvea, etc. by using appropriate systemic management techniques, such as intravitreal injections, lasers, surgery, and cross-consultation with medical professionals and other specialists. The distinctive strategy of a thorough examination tailored to each individual is a model standard.
